Things to know for your stay with us in Bavaria
You have questions, we have the answers. From A for arrival to Z for newspapers, we have summarized all the important information about your stay at the Schmerlenbach Hotel and Conference Centre for you here. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our staff at any time.
Arrival
Your room will be available from 14:00 at the latest. Earlier check-in is possible by arrangement. You can also check into your room outside reception hours. A key will then be ready for you.
Departure
You are welcome to use your room until 10:00 am on the day of departure. Late check-out is only possible by prior arrangement.

Outside the opening hours of the emergency medical service, you can call the central emergency room at Aschaffenburg Hospital:

Allergy
If you suffer from a house dust allergy, you can request a room for allergy sufferers.
Of course, we also take food allergies or intolerances into consideration. Simply inform our staff at reception so that our kitchen team can make the necessary adjustments.
Banks
There is a Raiffeisen-Volksbank ATM in Hösbach-Bahnhof, Aschaffenburger Straße 19 (approx. 3 km). There are savings banks and Raiffeisen-Volksbanken in Haibach (approx. 5 km) or in Hösbach (approx. 6 km).
Bar
Our bar Kilian's is located in the basement. Please follow the signs in the building. The opening hours are usually

Daily change of bed linen
On request, we can also change your bed linen daily for a fee of €8.
Evaluation
If you were satisfied with your stay, please let us know and rate us. You can find more information on the last page of the guest information.
Ironing service
On request, we offer to iron your laundry within one hour (per piece of laundry: € 6).
Check-out
You are welcome to use your room until 10:00 am on the day of departure. Late check-out is only possible by prior arrangement. Please hand in your key at the reception desk or leave it at the desk. You are welcome to leave your luggage in the rear area of the administration wing.
Deutsche Bahn event ticket
For events at our hotel, you can choose from a particularly large selection of fares for travel by Deutsche Bahn, which you can compare and book directly using the button below.
First aid
You will find a first aid kit on the left in front of the glass door to the restaurant. A defibrillator is also located there.
Bicycles
If you want to get active, mountain bikes are available for tours in the surrounding area. Bikes and helmets can be borrowed free of charge from reception.
Fire alarm
In the event of a fire alarm, please follow the instructions on the notice board in your room. Do not use elevators, only the stairwells. Follow the escape route signs and go to the assembly point.
Photocopying
Documents can be photocopied at our reception desk for a fee.
Luggage storage
If you would like a safe place to store your luggage before departure, please contact our reception.
Luggage service
We can also bring your luggage to your room on request.
Church services
It is possible to take part in the church service in the pilgrimage church. Please also note the current information in the display case in front of the church.
Daily towel change
On request, we can change your towels in the bathroom every day.
Main entrance
Opening hours:
Mon.-Sat. 06:00 to 22:00
Sun. 06:00 to 15:00
Outside these times, you can open the entrance door using the number combination that we will give you at check-in.
Pets are not allowed
Pets are generally not permitted in our main building.
Hygiene articles
For emergencies, we have various hygiene articles (toothpaste, toothbrushes, razor blades etc.) available for you at reception.
Internet access
Free Internet access via network cable is available in your room. The prerequisite for use is the automatic assignment of your IP address. You do not need a password. WLAN reception is available throughout the hotel.
IT support service
If you have problems with your internet access, please contact our reception.
Ticket sales and ticket service
Tickets for concerts in our pilgrimage church and for public events in our hotel are available in advance from our reception.
Pillow bar
You will find additional pillows of different sizes in our pillow bar on the second floor (follow the signs). We also have special neck support pillows and neck rolls available for you there.
Cot/baby bed
An additional cot/baby bed is available on request.
Credit cards
We accept EC cards, Visa and Mastercard.
Labyrinth
There is a walkable labyrinth in the park of the conference center. It invites you to take a path of reflection that leads you closer to your goal and to the center with every step. The labyrinth is an ancient symbol of life - just like the water that gushes out of a spring stone in the middle.
Charging cable
If you need a charging cable for your cell phone, please contact reception.
Souvenirs
If you are looking for a small gift, you will find some "souvenirs" in our glass display case in front of the cloister. You can obtain these items from our reception.
Sewing service
If required, we can offer you a sewing service. The fee is between €10 and €20, depending on the work involved.
Sewing kit
We can also provide you with sewing materials on request.
Nordic Walking
Nordic walking poles can be borrowed free of charge from reception.
Emergencies
Outside reception opening hours, you can call for help in emergencies using the telephones in the corridors. You will find the relevant telephone numbers there. Information on the relevant escape route can be found on the inside of your room door.
Catering during breaks
We serve our groups drinks and snacks at various locations in the building during the conference breaks. Please only help yourself where the conference break is served for your event.
Post Office
There is a letterbox at our gate entrance. You can also post your mail at reception, where it is collected daily at around 11:00 am. Stamps and postcards are also available there.
Quality management
We strive to continuously improve our service quality. You can help us do this by letting us know what you were satisfied with or what we can do better. Please use the feedback form in your room. This will help us to meet your wishes even better in the future.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in our house. We ask for your understanding and consideration.
You will find ashtrays outside at the main entrance and at the side entrances.
Umbrellas
If you need to borrow an umbrella, you will find them at the main entrance.
The restaurant
The restaurant is located on the first floor. Follow the signs from the main entrance through the foyer.

If you would like different meal times for your seminar, please discuss this with the reception staff. We serve our food at the buffet. You have a wide choice of dishes, some of which are organic. We attach great importance to regional sourcing and fair trade products.

Quiet times
From 22:00, we ask you to respect the peace and quiet of other guests in the house and in the outdoor areas.
Safe
If you wish, you can deposit valuables or money in our safe at reception. Please contact our staff.
Shoe cleaning
There is a shoe cleaning machine and shoe cleaning utensils in the stairwell in the basement (Klosterkeller).
Telephone
If you wish to make an external call from your room, please dial "0" and then the desired number. For internal calls, dial "1" and then the room number of the desired subscriber. If you wish to be called, you can be reached at 06021-63021 + room number, e.g. room no. 210: 06021-63021-210.

Environmental and climate protection
The environmental management of the Schmerlenbach Conference Center has been certified according to the standards of the European environmental certificate EMAS since 2009. We have been a member of the "Bavarian Environmental Pact" since 2010 and have been awarded the Bavarian environmental seal for the hospitality industry in gold several times. One of our contributions to our responsibility for creation is that we only use green electricity and operate a 10.8 kWp photovoltaic system. Hiking
Both the immediate surroundings of the floodplain in which Schmerlenbach is located and the nearby foothills of the Spessart offer a variety of hiking opportunities. If you need a hiking map, you can borrow one from reception.
Washing and ironing
From Monday to Friday, we can also wash and iron your laundry on request. If you hand in your laundry before 09:00, it will be returned within twelve hours. We charge €10 per item of laundry. Please contact our reception.
Wake up
You can be woken up via the telephone. To set up a wake-up call, please pick up the receiver and dial *46. Then enter the desired time (four digits), e.g. for a wake-up call at 07:15: *On request, we can also wake you up personally via the room telephone. Please contact our reception for this.
Newspapers
Current daily newspapers are available for you in the foyer.
Rooms
We hope that you feel comfortable in your room. Please always lock it when you leave, as we cannot accept any liability for lost items. There is a locker in the closet for valuables. For ecological reasons, we ask you not to tilt the windows for long periods when the heating is on and to turn the heating down completely for a short airing. Remember to close the window when you leave the room and switch off the light.
